Brian Storseth

About

Brian Storseth was born and raised in Barrhead, Alberta. He studied Political Science at the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta. While attending university, Brian worked for the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta as well as a former Deputy Premier.

In 2001, he became the youngest Councillor in Barrhead’s history. Brian helped initiate infrastructure upgrades such as a multi-functional arena that also serves the surrounding communities, and upgrades to the town’s swimming, hockey and baseball facilities. He later returned to the private sector where he purchased and operated a branch of Cooperators Insurance.

Brian was first elected to the House of Commons in 2006. He sits on the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food and the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs. A dedicated Member of Parliament, Brian works hard to address the issues that matter to Canadians and the people of his riding.
