MD of Bonnyville and Area Wildfires Wednesday, 16 May 2012

 The wildfire burning approximately 15 kilometres northwest of Bonnyville is classified as out of control at around 800 hectares. Firefighters and heavy equipment are working to build a fire guard around the fire which will help to slow or stop the fire's spread. Structural firefighters are working their hardest to protect homes in the area.

Over 100 firefighters are fighting this fire, supported by heavy equipment and aircraft.
