Brian Hosts Roundtable with Min. Ambrose-May 2013
Brian hosted a roundtable meeting with Regional Minister Rona Ambrose in St. Paul on May 16, 2013. Mayors and Reeves from surrounding communities were invited to participate in a variety of discussions, including the Cold Lake Oil Sands CRISP Report.
Healthy Families Healthy Futures Funding - Apr. 2013
Healthy Families Healthy Futures received Status of Women funding for a new project aimed at educating the community in how to respond to relationship abuse. The funds will be used to enhance and improve access to services and resources in Westlock, Barrhead and Athabasca.

Lethbridge media interview Brian about his Private Member's Bill C-304, An Act to Amend the Canadian Human Rights Act (Protecting Freedom). Brian's Bill passed 3rd reading in the House of Commons in June 2012 and was then sent to the Senate for 1st reading.

Fundraiser for Haying in the 30s - June 2012
Brian presents a cheque to Laurier Dechaine with Haying in the 30s, a non-profit cancer support society that provides financial aid to cancer victims undergoing treatment.
Victoria District National Historic Site-May 2012
Brian was pleased to be on hand with the Victoria Home Guard Historical Society to unveil the Historic Sites and Monuments plaque recognizing the Historic District of Victoria along the North Saskatchewan River. The site is comprised of 3 areas dating from the 19th century: the Victoria Settlement, Lobstick Settlement, and Ukrainian Settlement.
Parliamentary Delegation to Taiwan - May 2012
Brian visited Taiwan as part of a parliamentary delegation to discuss trade and to expand Canadian markets. He met with the President of Taiwan, Ma Ying-jeou, to discuss Canadian beef exports. The delegation had many opportunities to meet with officials to discuss trade opportunities, promote Canadian universities and build relationships.
Landmine Awareness Event - April 2012
"Lend a Leg for a Mine-Free World" - Brian hosts an event in collaboration with Mines Action Canada (MAC) to raise awareness of the devastation caused by landmines.
National Defence Minister Peter MacKay Visits Redwater - March 2012
The Minister of National Defence Peter MacKay and MP Brian Storseth attend a meet and greet held at Provident Place, Redwater. Minister MacKay and MP Storseth also visited Namao where the minister made the announcement that a new $54 million Land Force Western Area headquarters will be constructed at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton in Namao.
Neerlandia School Visit, Feb. 2012
Reaching out to future voters ... Brian visits Neerlandia School and spends an afternoon talking to students in Kindergarten, Gr. 3, Gr. 6 and Gr. 9.
Mallaig & District Senior Citizens Club, 2011
The grand opening of the Mallaig & District Senior Citizens Club was held in October. The seniors club received $25,000 in federal funding for kitchen repairs and a new roof under the New Horizons for Seniors program.

The District 37 Lions Club Convention took place in October in Bonnyville. Brian was pleased to attend the event where he was able to take the opportunity to make an announcement of federal funding for the service club.
Edmonton Garrison - Valour Ave., 2011
Brian was honoured to be asked to participate along with other dignitaries in the unveiling of the new sign when 195 Ave. was renamed Valour Ave.
Portraits of Honour - Cold Lake, 2011
Brian tours the Portraits of Honour event in Cold Lake. The Portraits of Honour National Tour is centred on a 10'x35' oil-painted mural featuring the hand-painted portraits of the 157 Canadian soldiers, sailors and aircrew who lost their lives while serving in Afghanistan. The mural was painted by volunteer artist Dave Sopha.
Cold Lake New Horizons for Seniors Funding, 2011
Brian tours the Cold Lake seniors facility. The Cold Lake Seniors' Society received federal grant money to help renovate their kitchen.
Bonnyville New Horizons for Seniors Funding, 2011
Brian speaks with seniors at the Bonnyville facility. The Bonnyville Senior Citizens Society received funds to help replace areas of worn-out flooring.
Newbrook New Horizons for Seniors Funding, 2011
Brian helps cut the ribbon at the seniors facility in Newbrook. The Silver Horizon Drop-in Centre received funding to purchase two new furnaces and a water heater.

St. Paul Parade & BBQ Fundraiser, Sept. 2011
Brian participated in the St. Paul parade and hosted his annual fundraising BBQ at the St. Paul constituency office. BBQ proceeds went to the Kid Sport fund, an organization that provides support to children to help remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport.

Brian hosted his 5th Annual Beef-on-a-Bun BBQ after participating in the Westlock Fair parade. The proceeds from the BBQ went to The Hope Resource Centre. The HRC, operated by the Westlock Women's Association, is an organization that assists victims of abuse.

Brian receives a tour of the EmployAbilities centre in Westlock. EmployAbilities is a community-based charitable non-profit organization that provides employment training and services to employers and individuals with disabilities.

Brian spent time at the Athabasca Multiplex with MLA Jeff Johnson, speaking with evacuees from the Slave Lake fire and helping to ensure that volunteers had the support they needed as relief efforts got underway.

Hope Resource Centre Grand Opening, 2010
The Hope Resource Centre celebrated the opening of their new office space in downtown Westlock. The Hope Resource Centre provides emotional and physical support to individuals affected by family violence and abuse. The group is run by the Westlock Women's Association, a group Brian co-founded to help victims of abuse.
Lakeland Doctor Recruitment Board, 2010
Brian was instrumental in pulling together a group of people dedicated to recruiting more doctors for the Lakeland area. He organized and hosted a number of Lakeland Doctor Recruitment meetings. Key members of this group were doctors themselves who were able to bring their perspective to bear on the issue.

Olympic Torch Relay- Cold Lake
The Olympic Torch graced the City of Cold Lake on November 6, 2009. Over 5000 people attended the event, including Brian.
Parliamentary Tours
When constituents are visiting Ottawa, they are always welcome to have a tour of Parliament Hill and Brian's Parliamentary office. Brian personally takes it upon himself to welcome his constituents and give them a personal tour and meeting!
Minister MacKay visits 4-Wing Cold Lake: 2009
Brian had the honour of hosting the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of Defense while he was in the riding. The Minister visited 4-Wing Cold where he announced $135 million for infrastructure upgrades.

Cluster Bomb Awarness Reception
On May 15, 2007 Brian and Mines Action Canada co-hosted a reception on Parliament Hill to educate all Parliamentarians and their staff on the dangers of cluster munitions.
Rememberance Day 2007
Brian toured the riding on November 11, 2007 and attended the 4-Wing Cold Lake Rememberance Day Ceremony. There he paid tribute to our veterans and soldiers in the Canadian Forces.
United Way Fundraiser -- January 23, 2008
Brian took part in a fundraiser for United Way by showing off his hockey moves at a national tournament held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008.

Provident Place Tour with Minister Prentice
Brian and Jack Dennett, Deputy Mayor of Redwater took Minister Prentice on a tour of the Provident Place on Wednesday, February 20th, 2008. Afterwards an Open House took place for constituents to come out and meet the Minister of Industry and discuss vaious issues.
Morinville Paintball and Training Facility
Brian had the opportunity to address the crowd and present a scroll at the grand opening of Western Canada's largest indoor paintball field and training facility.
Cherry Grove Seniors Announcement
Brian held an announcement in Cherry Grove on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 where he announced more than $129,000 of funding for seniors centres and organizations in the area.
Conservative vs Liberal Hockey Game 2008
The Conservatives played the Liberals in a challenging match of ice hockey. It was a competitive gaming leaving the final score tied.

First Annual Protective Services BBQ
Brian along with the Town of Morinville and Sturgeon County hosted a "Protective Services BBQ" in Morinville. The BBQ was in honour of all the brave Protective Services Personnel who work hard to keep our communities and country safe.
